Christmas Greetings

Christmas greetings to all who read my blog wherever you are - may you have a wonderful day tomorrow in snow or sunshine. Looking back at last year's message I had picked mulberries from our mulberry tree. I have been up to investigate but they are not ready at all this year.

This year we are Darby and Joan but not quiet and lonely like we thought - we are off to Eva and Malachy's for Christmas Eve bbq soon and tomorrow to Martine and Luigi's for Christmas Lunch - so it looks like the good Kiwi Xmas dinner of roast lamb and all the necessaries and pavlova and homemade icecream will be on Boxing Day.

The last of the orders have been done and we are having 2 days off. SO we can play with our Christmas Present waiting under the tree - what could they be????

Hi Dale and Ian Happy Christmas to you both.
We are Darby & Joan too here on the Island but lots of people for drinks and dinners, lovely to meet up with old friends, drinks tonight and then as Christmas day here will be cool roast duck at night and probably another go at seeking the elusive fish.
I had a lovely long walk along the beach this moening and John has just eaten the sandcrab he caught for lunch (I was wicked and had pate on rice crackers!)
Some painting getting done, but most of the other stuff I bought to do is still sitting there apart from a bit of knitting. All in all a good relaxing few days.

Merry Christmas to you both - we are having lamb too this year - but tiramisu to follow, instead of pav! My special present under the tree comes from The Thread Studio - two much coveted books - can't wait! Enjoy your break.

Cheers
Hilary

Merry Christmas to you both! Say hi to Ian for me. We're Christmas with friends up the road who also don't have any family in Melbourne - for the 6th year running!. We'll raise a glass for you.

Happy Christmas Ian and Dale,

Enjoy your quiet time. You certainly deserve your time off!

We've just finished a lovely Christmas feast with 92 year old parents-in-law, son and wonderful partner and our new Grand-puppy Kiwa, a 5 month old Golden Retriever, who sports a new scar from an emergency surgery to remove a G-string she thought was very tasty, but unfortunately wasn't digestable!! You know how we tell our kids to "pick your stuff up from the floor, or shut the bedroom door!" well, this was a $1100 lesson in the same!!

Happy Christmas,

Virginia
