ramblings about textile art
and anything else relevant or not - Dale Rollerson is a textile artist - writer - teacher and passionate owner of The Thread Studio
Dale, I loved those trees in Hyde Park, on hols in Perth a long time back for relief from afternoon heat we'd sit under their cooling shade and eat icecreams. Never forgot the trees, and we did speculate at the time how many thousands of people had done just as we were doing and enjoyed their shade.
As a teenager at college I used to have weekends with my father's two elderly maiden cousins & each time I visited there we walked around Hyde Park. The trees were massive then I thought and quite magical and that about sixty years ago!

I love trees and the older the better. When you think that some live for hundreds of years they could certainly tell a tale or two.
