roses, snow and giveaways

It's a wild, wet and windy day here in Perth so I thought I would post my roses - yes another bunch - they know me well at the dairy up the road. And I am sad because it is snowing all over New Zealand and I spent my childhood hoping it would and it never did.

and I have more giveaways. These are Radiant Rains - we don't sell them anymore - these ones are mine and I have divided them into sets of threes - I have 7 sets. 1 of each set has been used a little and the rest not at all. They are lovely sprays - much thicker than Starburst Sprays with loads of mica but I know I am not going to use them anymore. To be in the draw you must leave a message and for every 10 comments I will select someone. It will cost you a big red bag. The sprays are currently selling at around $13.50 each.

I am trying to run to the studio but it has been too wet - looks like I will have to take my umbrella - that was easy!

Beautiful roses and beautiful sprays. Your weather sounds a bit like and English summer!! I never think of it snowing in NZ except on mountain tops - you'll have to make a flying visit to see it. Keep dry and hope you don't get more rain than is necessary. The world's weather doesn't know how to behave itself these days - rather like the UK's thugs and hooligans.

8 degrees here in Auckland today. Lots of hail and some snow flurries.
Snow in downtown Auckland, last recorded snow there in 1939. Sorry you are missing out Dale!!!

Hi Dale
I can understand the snow thing! I've been visiting family in Armidale NSW for about 20 years and it is always so cold in winter and never snows when I'm there. It is always after I am there or not at all! My two young boys were staying there for a week and it managed to snow for them!
The Radiant Rain sprays sound wonderful!

Looks like you have been experimenting on your roses...they look lovely. The rain got a bit serious for a bit there but I think I would rather rain than snow (though ask me again when it is the umpteenth day of 40ish temps and I have had enough of the heat)Snow is lovely at first...it is the after that it is horrid, gritty brown slush that gets everywhere....

Loving the idea of the "Radiant Rain" - I had to drive through lots of rain on the way home from work today....loving it that the drought has ended!

Impressed that you are "culling" your sprays - can't believe the snow in NZ - wet n windy outside my house this evening -I'm off to curl up in my comfy chair with a couple of Sherrill Kahn books :-)

What lovely roses. Can't believe it is snowing in NZ. I would love the chance to win some of your sprays, I haven't tried those ones. LOL

I could do with some more sprays. My stash is very limited and am on a project which would be enhanced by more paints. It's raining in Tassy too but snow in New Zealand sounds fun!! We had some on the tops of the Tiers not long ago. Heres' to my chance of winning!!

Beautiful weather here in Qld, hard to believe it's winter. Love your roses Dale and the sprays sound great. Anything else you want to cull, we're in for it.

Glad you have finally got some rain Dale --we badly need some more as well.
Beautiful roses too--how come you got them?

Well Dale, after having lived a life in a northern climate with plenty of snow I can promise you that you haven't missed anything by not seeing snow!! However, I can also understand as a child that it might have some appeal.

Beautiful roses! I'd love to be getting your weather here in Tennessee! It's been unbearably hot. I'd love to try your sprays... I've never used them, but I'd like to start.

Gorgeous roses Dale. I had some beautiful orange ones in my front garden this morning but todays rain destroyed them before I picked them - oh well glad of the rain and hope it makes its way to the dams. Here's keeping everything crossed to try out your sprays xxxxx

Does a big red bag extend to the UK? A lot of rain here but not usually radiant.

How frustrating for you to miss the snow! As a child I got so excited every time it snowed and still love the magical feel it gives to everything even now. I would love to have a little play with these sprays they sound really fun.

We definitely need all this lovely rain here in Perth, the strong winds however blew down one of my wind chimes and it broke! Oh well, its a perfect time to be indoors stitching and painting and cups of tea.

Guess Perth "radiant rains" are different to the ones we usually get in Nth Qld but at least our's are of a warm temperature. And as for snow...........whats that?

Beautiful roses Dale. Did DH buy them for you? Glad the rain is worthwhile for you. Sorry youre missing the snow here. I think there has been about 6inches in Taranaki, and that's not on the mountain. None here in South Head (NW Auckland) though.
How generous you are Dale, I would love to be one of the lucky ones.

Nothing like beautiful roses to brighten the day. The rain is lovely, just hope it goes to the eastern wheatbelt. Feed is pretty good but we need more in the dams. Would love the opportunity to win a pack of your sprays, that would brighten my day.

We saw the snow on the news last night and it looked so cold.......the lady they interviewed from Christchurch was very stoic, but she looked like she was freezing. Still she had that determination to get on with things. I was brought up in central Victoria and I can remember it snowing it the winter...not every winter, just ones Mother Nature selected at her whim. Not sure I want to go back there !!!
Not much rain here in Brisbane either....it's getting very dry.
The roses are beautiful Dale.....

Very cool giveaway - keeping my fingers crossed I win :-)
The snow was pretty special - especially since it happened on my big boy's birthday.

Hi! Dale,

Saw the amazing news footage of New Zealand's snow last night, feel for th people in Christchurch without power. Love your roses, they are my favourite flower, at my place the possums love them too.

Love the nsame Radiant Rains - and welcome rain here mostly, but the weather has been crazy lately. I saw the news of snow in Auckland, NZ, so guess the weather is crazy everywhere this year.

We know people who went to New Zealand to ski and got snowed in at the bottom of the mountain and never got up the top to ski! Not happy people, poor things.

Lovely roses :)

Hi, Dale. We have had floods here in Gippsland and our school was closed on Friday because the buses couldn't run. The Mitchell River burst its banks on Friday night. We also couldn't get to the farm because the South Gippsland Highway was cut off by the Thompson River. So...you think you have rain, but we REALLY have rain! I would love to be put in the draw for the Radiant Rains---I'd love something radiant about now!

Hi Dale
I spent my childhood wishing it wouldn't snow in Scotland, to come here and miss it of course. You never appreciate enough what you have!

Dale - I am in love with these spray-painty thingies. I bought some Moon Shadow sprays from you a while back and used them on stamp albums I was making for my nieces. Stunning effects! Instantly transformed a flat page into a classy 'aged' piece.
