there are plenty of disasters in the world today but the biggest disaster for me today was dropping my entire collection of beads on the polished concrete floor in the studio - tomorrow brings a huge amount of picking them up but I think the sorting will have to wait somehow.

Oh, poor you! I've dropped a bunch of beads before but mine were on carpeting so didn't skitter away too far. I hope you can put everything in order again without too much headache.
well, maybe the benefit will be some serendipitous combinations?? "There's got to be a pony in there somewhere." GG
Dale - we were thinking of you at the HH session this weekend Hope you are working hard on HH as well as your embellisher course. As to this disaster - I know the feeling having done something similiar with seed beads a few months ago. I gave in and used a bag less vacuum cleaner and found it easier to remove the odd bit of fluff from the contents than picking up individual beads!!! Hope its all sorted now.
Oh Dear!! - I'm sure you can find something that needs multi colours??
Maybe you could pick out the big ones and sell the rest as bead soup.
Dale, put a stocking over the end of the vacuum cleaner pipe and go from there. You do get a bit of fluff as well but better than bowing to great god bead!!
To sort them easily suggest finding abored seven year old and sitting them down with five or six different bowls/pots/containers and instructions on which colours to sort into. This job can fill many a happy hour so I have found.
