A rose for Rae Cummings - a wonderful friend, colleague and so often my rock - someone I could email when fed up and cross and who would reply immediately to get me back on the straight and narrow. She had a serious thing about karma and always made me feel positive. Rae was the 3 of our trio of Jacinta and me and her. A tireless worker, a generous person, straight as can be and one of the loveliest people I have ever known. We are going to miss you so much - may you rest in peace. Our love to Jacinta and Frank and her family and I shall whip up a lovely cake for you. So pleased that Rae and Frank had a wonderful holiday in Europe last year - even staying in the same place that we did in Istanbul. Remember, everyone, just how precious life is - grab every moment as though it was your last because the chance will never come again.
The funeral for Rae Cummings will be held at 10am on Tuesday, March 26 at Ashton Manner in Diamond Creek.

I only met Rae once here in Brisbane at a craft workshop where she had a trading table. We got chatting & she was a lovely lady generously sharing her knowledge & advice & we had a laugh or two as well!!
Dale, I offer you, Jacinta & Rae's family my sincere sympathy.
It makes me very teary to think that Rae has passed on. I feel she is in a better place with all her troubles gone but for those of you left behind who loved her and miss her, it will be a harder place to be...my best wishes
Hugs to you - it's hard to lose a good friend
I am sorry to hear about Rae. I did a class with Rae at the Embroiderers' Guild a couple of years ago and she was extremely generous with her knowledge and very supportive. My thoughts are with her family and also with you, Dale.
In the Fibre/Textile art world there was none finer. You said that she was your rock, she was my Uluru...supporting me when all went pear shaped and pulled me back from wanting to throw it all away. Fibre Arts Australia is as strong as it is now because of Rae. she will be missed terribly at the Ballarat event in a few weeks. There will be very little tears, as we will only have a lot of laughter in our hearts during that event, as we know that is what Rae had wanted. A best friend never leaves, they are simply absent for a while.
I am so sorry, Dale. :( My thoughts are with you all at this time. So much love to you!
My condolences to you all. It is always hard to lose a close friend.
So very sorry to hear of your sad loss Dale. My thoughts are with you.
Very sad when i heard of Rae's death. I bought some lovely hand dyed bits and bobs from her Etsy shop, always so kind and generous. Feel for her family and friends.
