Happy Birthday Bruce
Happy Birthday - you have moved on a bit from this......
Hope you are having a good day which I am sure has included some spiffy bike riding
In this household we just LOVE daylight saving. We love not being woken up at 4.30am when the sun comes up and we LOVE being able to relax outside in the evenings enjoying our environs. We LOVE to have a barbecue, read our books and enjoy our garden. We do NOT want to have the lights go out at 7.30pm in the Summer. We just hope all thinking West Australians support the referendum on daylight saving. Otherwise just how backward can we be?

I completely agree with you on daylight saving. Wish Queensland would move forward in this...
Hmm until we are still well over 40 degrees and it is well after 8 pm. Have to say this is one thing I dont agree on, we still milk cows at the same time just it happens to be 2 am not 3 am and during the heat of the afternoon.
Ok for those who dont have to work those wort of hours.
Daylight saving is fine for those of you in southern latitudes who don't have to work country hours, but no way for the tropics - I bet the West Australians up around Kunanurra hate it just as much as we do in Northern Queensland - and we don't have twilight in the tropics either. I loved it in Scotalnd though.
Having a DH who leaves for work before 6am and has to do it in the dark and semi dark and having kids who struggle to go to bed at night because it is still light I would prefer not to have it and will be voting against it (though I voted for it before we had the trial). Got to agree with Robin, it is perfect in Scotland where in winter unless you go out at lunch time you would never see daylight.
Sorry Dale I will be voting against it ... I hate it ... hated it in UK too when I was a kid but I didn't have a choice there!I am an early morning person that's when the creative juices are running...I run outa puff by mid arvo! (plus the light is best in my studio in the mornings ...it's that side of the house) My DH leaves at 5.35am and he hates it too! DD doesn't like it either,... DS too young to vote... so this house is an against one...
Which state do I have to live in to get the most sleep, thats all I care about. Love his hair!
I agree with you Dale and love the daylight saving and being able to be out in the garden or walking the dogs after supper. I will be voting for daylight saving to stay!
I don't see what all the fuss is about.
One Sunday you put your clocks back an hour and another Sunday you put it forward an hour.
It takes one day to get over the switch and then you forget all about it until you have to change back.
You still have 24 hours in the day--still have the same amount of darkness and daylight so what's the problem.
Kids go to sleep when they are tired it has nothing to do with daylight savings.
As you can see I love it and I am glad that there is no talk of removing it here.
oh Dale I too agree with you- I love being able to sit outside late in the evening and loathe it when we go back to normal time- U know wot I think U and Ian need to move to a progressive state -as in next door South Australia .. where we do have DST.
love n hugs Belinda xo
