We are back
And look what greeted us when we arrived. Actually all 3 of the waterlilies were out - how exciting - but by the time I got to take a pic 2 had gone to bed. but so exciting to see the errant one appear.
We had a lovely wee break - apart form my middle of the night trip to St Vincent's and my continuing agonising left leg - but it was great to catch up with everyone and we had a good night out on Friday for Ian's birthday. Slam did pretty well ending up 8th considering 6 different sailors sailed on a 3 man boat on different days - Grant damaged himself and had a day off and Jack tore a knee ligament and that is the end of him for a while but we all enjoyed being out on the harbour and watching the wonderful 18ft skiffs racing through the water. it always amazes me that there is never anything on them on them in the papers...
Back home to work - the Textile mags will be here tomorrow and we will send them out along with all the other goodies missed today although we did quite well considering we got back early afternoon. At 7am good old Qantas phoned to tell us the plane was full (we used points for business class) and we could either move back to economy or go on the later flight - we fussed around so much that they must have found some other people to shove off the plane. So we got the right flight but lost our window seats and by the time they got to Ian the food choices had vanished. I have to say I would never pay money to fly business class Qantas - the food was awful going over and awful coming back. Same soggy beans and carrots I have rejected in economy many a time.

Your water lily is so lovely. Hope your leg is more comfortable and that Grant and Jack are on the mend too. Pity about the unsatisfactory flights but at least you are back home for a bit of comfort and decent food.
I hope they were able to help your leg. It's so hard to do anything when you hurt.
Ouch - that doesn't sound good about your leg, hope it is better soon. Your waterlily is lovely. Cheers, Robin
Hope the leg is ok and nothing too major. Afraid I wont ever fly Qantas unless itis the only plane flying, after many years of changed times, messed up flights etc, Too many bad experiences.
Hi Dale I hope this works as I have never left a message on a blog before.
Congratulations on your blog I love to read it every day and wonder how you are when you don't add to it. I really appreciate having a blog to read from Perth and particularly because we know you from way back. Your work is fab and can't wait to see what you are doing with the black and white.
